Importing Pets To The USA

Following steps should be completed when transporting the pets to the USA: Step 1: Check your pet vaccination card. Your pet should be vaccinated at least 30 days prior to your departure. Other than rabies vaccines, the parasitic vaccines must be completed (three months before the departure day). Step 2: 48 hours prior to the departure, you should go to the Animal Health Department of Istanbul Directorate of Provincial Agriculture and receive “Origin and Veterinary Health Report” required for the pet. This report is requested in Turkish customs and is also used as an International Health Report in the USA and other countries. You must leave Turkey on the date you declared, otherwise, it will expire, and you will need to have a new report. If you are going to Istanbul Directorate of Provincial Agriculture, you should have followings your pet(s) and original and photocopy of your petition certificate with you. * Ankara cats, Van cats and Kangal dogs going abroad T.C.
